28 Days!

And the countdown begins!

I first want to thank everyone who has taken some time out of their busy schedules to read my first blog.  I currently have 4 public followers, and I know that many more have signed up as private or through email.    Even though I don't know you are (unless you have told me), my page already has over 100 views. Wow!  Keep it up! :)

There are 28 days until I depart the US for an adventure of a lifetime.  My flight will be leaving at 8:15 AM with a 5 hour layover in Newark, New Jersey.  (Anyone have any good advice of how to stay occupied at the airport?!  I guess I might be catching up on some gossip with a magazine... Any other suggestions: Please comment below!)  After that, it will be straight to Oslo, Norway, arriving around 8 the next morning.  Although a full day of traveling sounds exhausting, I'm sure I will be ready to go to start exploring!

And that's the way the cookie crumbles,

Hello!

Hey there! Thanks for checking out my blog! If you haven't heard, I will be going to Norway this summer!! Woohoo!

I'm gearing up for 6 weeks of classes at the Oslo International Summer School, which will be Scandinavian Government & Politics along with Norwegian Art & Architecture.  I am definitely looking forward to the art class, as almost every day is an excursion to see what I am really learning about.  How cool is that?!  Another great perk to my summer classes (besides of course that they are in Norway!) is that they will transfer back perfectly to help me with my International Studies major at Colorado State University.

While June 23rd (the date I leave) feels so far away, I'm sure that it will pass quickly.  There are so many things to do to get ready! Pack my luggage, break in my new hiking shoes, convert some money to Norwegian Kroner, and figure out the electrical conversion for my gadgets are only some of the things on my mind.

If you are interested in reading about my adventures in Norway, please join this blog! There should be a button labeled "Follow" on the right-hand column or if that doesn't work, there is another "Follow" button on the top left.  Let me know if you have any troubles!

One last thing: I need to send out a big THANK YOU to the Sons of Norway Foundation and Sons of Norway Trollheim Lodge 6-110, both of which are helping me with scholarships this summer.  Thanks!

Until next time...
